Programming Visual Basic 2005

Book Description
This newest programming guide by bestselling author Jesse Liberty isn't your typical Visual Basic book. It's not a primer on the language, and it won't dull your brain with arguments hyping .NET either. Its goal, rather, is to make you immediately productive, creating Windows and Web applications using Visual Basic 2005 and Visual Studio 2005.

Written for VB6 and novice programmers, the book shows how Visual Basic 2005 can be used to rapidly build modern Windows and web applications.

What makes this book different is what's not included. There's no introduction to Visual Basic, no explanation of how it fits into the .NET world. Why waste time reading about something you'll learn for yourself as soon as you start creating applications? You won't even write a "Hello World" program. With Programming Visual Basic 2005 you'll get started building something meaningful, right away.

The book is divided into three parts--Building Windows Applications, Building Web Applications, and Programming with Visual Basic--each of which could be a book on its own. The author shares his thorough understanding of the subject matter through lucid explanations and intelligently designed lessons that guide you to increasing levels of expertise. By the time you've finished the book, you'll know how to program both Windows and web applications with VB 2005.

The support for this book extends beyond its covers. Jesse offers a FAQ, Errata, complete source code and a link to a free private support discussion center on his web site: LibertyAssociates.com - just click on books.

Jesse Liberty, Microsoft .NET MVP, is the best-selling author of O'Reilly Media's Programming ASP.NET and over a dozen other books on web and object-oriented programming. Jesse is a frequent contributor to many industry publications and websites, and has spoken at numerous industry events. He is a former Distinguished Software Engineer at AT&T and Vice President for technology development at CitiBank.

Jesse Liberty's books have successfully guided thousands of programmers into the world of .NET programming, and Programming Visual Basic 2005 is no exception.

About the Author
David is a writer and broadcaster on international affairs, with a particular interest in Japan. He got the Internet bug in the days when Netscape ruled the world and websites were entirely hand coded. Then came WYSIWYDDG (what you see is what you definitely don\'t get) HTML editors. He tried a whole bunch, including several Japanese ones, before discovering Dreamweaver 3, and he\'s stayed with Dreamweaver ever since. He believes MX 2004 is the best yet, and might be persuaded to say it\'s finally WYSIWYG if he didn\'t spend so much time buried in Code view. David started creating dynamic websites with ASP and is thankful that unlike Cleopatra, he managed to survive before discovering PHP. When not developing websites, he spends his time writing about Japan, translating Japanese (he\'s translated several plays), and savoring the delights of raw fish and sake. Phil Sherry is a self-taught web developer during the day in Liverpool, and a freelance web anarchist for the remaining hours of the day. With lingering bad memories of having to use dial-up connection for years, he still does his best to design sites for the lowest common denominator. That means lower resolutions too, as well as people with slower machines (let's not mention those poor Windows users).

Working with Jake Smith, several rock gods have had their web presence greatly enhanced over the years, including Andy Rourke, the ex-bass player from The Smiths. Phil has previously worked on several friends of ED books, and also beta tested several key Adobe products. A self-confessed geek, Phil can usually be found in a room full of computers, surrounded by screens of ASCII. Andy is an internationally renowned web designer, developer and weblog author based in Brighton, England. Andy specializes in building attractive, accessible, and standards complaint web solutions. Andy enjoys writing about web techniques for sites such as digital-web.com and his work has been featured in numerous magazines, books, and websites around the world.

Simon is lead web developer at Agenzia, and has worked on numerous web projects for record labels, high-profile recording artists, and leading visual artists and illustrators, including The Libertines, Black Convoy, and Project Facade. Simon also oversees a production line of business, community, and voluntary sector web sites, and passionately ensures everything he builds is accessible and usable, and complies with current web standards. Simon regularly reviews CSS-based web sites for Stylegala, and does his best to keep his highly popular blog (collylogic.com) updated with noise about web standards, music, film, travels, and more web standards.

Richard has been designing and developing websites for nigh on ten years. Early in 2003, he built his first blogging engine, which still powers his weblog Clagnut (www.clagnut.com), in which he harps on about accessibility, web standards, and mountain biking.
Chris is a Web Developer and Mac enthusiast living in Central Kentucky USA. He is a hacker on the WordPress Project and K2, the successor to the Open Source Template Kubrick. Recently he has begun working with the Apache Software Foundation. None Available

by Bill Evjen (Author), Billy Hollis (Author), Rockford Lhotka (Author), Tim McCarthy (Author), Rama Ramachandran (Author), Kent Sharkey (Author), Bill Sheldon (Author)

In this book, we cover Visual Basic virtually from start to finish. We begin by looking at the .NET Framework and end by looking at the best practices for deploying .NET applications. In between, we look at everything from database access to integration with other technologies such as XML, along with investigating the new features in detail. You will see that Visual Basic 2005 has emerged as a powerful yet easy-to-use language that will allow you to target the Internet just as easily as the desktop.

This book is written to help experienced developers learn about Visual Basic 2005. From those who are just starting the transition from earlier versions to those who have used Visual Basic for a while and need to gain a deeper understanding, this book provides a discussion on the most common programming tasks and concepts you need.

Although, it is possible to create Visual Basic applications using the command-line tools contained in the.NET Framework SDK, you will need Visual Studio 2005 (Professional or higher), which includes the .NET Framework SDK, to get the most out of this book. You may use Visual Studio .NET 2002 or Visual Studio 2003 instead, but there may be cases where much of the lessons will just not work because functionalities and capabilities will not be available in these older versions.

    Hacker Disassembling Uncovered

This book is dedicated to the basics of hacking—methods of analyzing programs using a debugger and disassembler. There is huge interest in this topic, but in reality, there are very few programmers who have mastered these methods on a professional level.

The majority of publications that touch on issues of analyzing and optimizing programs, as well as creating means of protecting information, delicately tiptoe around the fact that in order to competently find "holes" in a program without having its source code, you have to disassemble them. Restoring something that even somewhat resembles the source code is still considered an extremely complex task. In the book, the author describes a technology used by hackers that gives a practically identical source code, and this includes programs in C++ as well, which are particularly difficult to disassemble.

The book gives a detailed description of ways to identify and reconstruct key structures of the source language—functions (including virtual ones), local and global variables, branching, loops, objects and their hierarchy, mathematical operators, etc. The disassembly methodology that we will look at has been formalized—i.e., it has been translated from an intuitive concept into a complete technology, available and comprehensible to almost anyone.

The book contains a large number of unique practical materials. It is organized in such a manner that it will most certainly be useful to the everyday programmer as a manual on optimizing programs for modern intelligent compilers, and to the information protection specialist as a manual on looking for so-called "bugs." The "from simple to complex" style of the book allows it to easily be used as a textbook for beginner analyzers and "code diggers."

Windows Communication Foundation Unleashed (WCF) (Unleashed)

Windows Communication Foundation Unleashed (WCF) (Unleashed) (Paperback)
by Craig McMurtry (Author), Marc Mercuri (Author), Nigel Watling (Author), Matt Winkler (Author)

Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) is a new Microsoft technology for allowing software to communicate. Superseding earlier technologies, such as COM/DCOM, .NET Remoting, ASP.NET Web Services, and the Web Services Enhancements for .NET, WCF provides a single solution that is designed to always be the best way to exchange data among software entities. It also provides the infrastructure for developing the next generation of Web services, with support for the WS-* family of specifications, and a new serialization system for enhanced performance. For information technology professionals, WCF supplies an impressive array of administration tools that enterprises and software vendors can use to reduce the cost of ownership of their solutions without writing a single line of code. Most important, WCF finally delivers on the long-postponed promise of model-driven software development with the new software factory approach, by which one can iteratively design solutions in a modeling language and generate executables from lower-level class libraries.

Windows Communication Foundation Unleashed is designed to be the best resource for software developers and architects working with WCF. The book guides readers toward a conceptual understanding of all the facilities of WCF and provides step-by-step guides to applying the technology to practical problems.

    • Introduces you to WCF and then takes you deep inside the technology
    • Gives you nearly 100 best practices for programming with WCF
    • Provides detailed coverage on how to version services that you will not find anywhere else
    • Delves into using WCF together with Windows Workflow Foundation and Windows CardSpace
    • Provides detailed coverage of the new high-performance data contract serializer for .NET
    • Walks you through how to do secure, reliable, transacted messaging, and how to understand the options available
    • Introduces you to federated, claims-based security, and shows you how to incorporate SAML and WS-Trust security token services into your architecture
    • Provides step-by-step instructions for how to customize every aspect of WCF
    • Shows you how to add your own behaviors, communication channels, message encoders, and transports
    • Gives you options for implementing publish/subscribe solutions
    • Walks you through how to do peer-to-peer communications with WCF

As evangelists at Microsoft for WCF, Craig McMurtry, Marc Mercuri, Nigel Watling, and Matt Winkler are uniquely positioned to write this book. They had access to the product as it was being built and to the development team itself. Their work with enterprises and outside software vendors has given them insight into how others see the software, how they want to apply it, and the challenges they face in doing so.

The Symbian OS Architecture Sourcebook: Design and Evolution of a Mobile Phone OS (Symbian Press)

The Symbian OS Architecture Sourcebook: Design and Evolution of a Mobile Phone OS (Symbian Press) (Paperback)
    by B. Morris (Author)

The current Symbian Press list focuses very much on the small scale features of Symbian OS in a programming context. The Architecture Sourcebook is different.

It's not a how-to book, it's a 'what and why' book. And because it names names as it unwinds the design decisions which have shaped the OS, it is also a 'who' book. It will show where the OS came from, how it has evolved to be what it is, and provide a simple model for understanding what it is, how it is put together, and how to interface to it and work with it. It will also show why design decision were made, and will bring those decisions to life in the words of Symbian's key architects and developers, giving an insider feel to the book as it weaves the "inside story" around the architectural presentation.

The book will describe the OS architecture in terms of the Symbian system model. It will show how the model breaks down the system into parts, what role the parts play in the system, how the parts are architected, what motivates their design, and how the design has evolved through the different releases of the system.

Key system concepts will be described; design patterns will be explored and related to those from other operating systems. The unique features of Symbian OS will be highlighted and their motivation and evolution traced and described.

The book will include a substantial reference section itemising the OS and its toolkit at component level and providing a reference entry for each component.

    site:www.24h.com.vn gisele bundchen

    1 inch in cm

    - more <tên file>: hiển thị file theo từng trang.

Ta chọn “Install to Hard Drive” để cài đặt. Phần giao diện đồ họa người dùng GUI (Graphic User Interface) xuất hiện:

Nhấn Next ở phần Fedora Installer, rồi đến phần chọn ngôn ngữ bàn phím. Ta chọn U.S. English rồi nhấn Next để tiếp tục.
